Players do not need to be present. We will have your roster printed off for you to review and confirm at the meeting and to write in any pickup players. Birth Certificates will be checked at registration but we will not keep them once they are approved. If you have a write in player, you will need their birth certificate as well. Also, if you have a grade based player, you must have a school record showing the year and grade for that player. You should keep them with you at all times during the tournament in case you need them.
Opening ceremonies will be held on Friday night July 9, at 7:00pm at Jenks Youth Baseball Complex. All Teams should be at the fields by 6:30 to have their individual team photos taken and to stage for the “Parade of Teams”. All teams MUST participate and should be in matching Jerseys and Caps. A group photo will be taken at the ceremonies.
Pin Trading has become a huge tradition at the World Series. Players, coaches, and parents will have opportunities to trade pins throughout the week including during the Skills Competitions and Team Social. Team pins are not mandatory but certainly adds to the fun of this special event. Local Tulsa teams might try The Pin Man or www.metropins.com
We suggest each player have enough pins to trade with each team in your tournament which would be a maximum of 23 pins and maybe a couple extra.
World Series T-Shirts:
World Series T-shirts, Official Pin Towels and other Souvenirs will be available at the Opening Ceremonies and then also at the ballpark starting Saturday morning.
Team photos will be taken immediately as teams arrive for the Opening Ceremonies. Action photos will be shot during tournament play. Families will have an opportunity to view and purchase these photos at the ballpark during the World Series. The photographer will be at the Team Mom meeting to go over the photography packages.
